What does mobile mean?   
Our mechanic will come out to you to get the job done.  Yes we will travel to you within the Brisbane Area.  We carry out work in homes, at work sites and any other location that the vehicle is in and safely accessible. 

 

Why is a mobile mechanic better than taking your vehicle to a garage?

Our technicians are Australian recognised trade qualified with industry experience.

 

Will I loose my new car warranty if I use Mechanics At Work?

No, you will be able to maintain your new car warranty by booking log book services in accordance to mileage and service intervals as stipulated by your vehicles manufacturer.

 

Can I phone if I have a question about car stuff? 

Yes.  We're a friendly bunch and will be able to give free advice that is within our capacity.

 

Will I benefit from a Pre-Purchase Inspection?

Yes, It is always good to have a professional go over the vehicle that way you are in the driving seat when deciding to purchase the vehicle

This service allows you to take the following action with increased confidence:

1.   Further negotiate the price with the vendor based on findings from the inspection.

2.   Walk away from the potential purchase.

3.   Proceed with the purchase of the vehicle.

 

Do you carry out log book servicing?

Yes we do in accordance with manufacturers specifications.  What does that mean?  Different manufacturers have different servicing schedules for their vehicles.  Dependent on the make, model and mileage of the vehicle different checks and actions will be required during servicing.  These actions include replacement of filters, oils, coolants, the lubrication of axles and driveshafts, diagnostic scans and safety checks covering suspension, brakes and electric system, etc.

 

Will I get a list of all the work carried out on my vehicle?

Yes, you will get a complete run down of all work undertaken as well as a list of other potential work that needs to be done.  

 

My vehicle dashboard is displaying lights?  Can your help?

Yes.  We carry diagnostic scan tools.  We are able to connect this to your vehicles on-board computer to determine the fault and take further action.

Do you open on Public Holidays?  

We go fishing on New Years Day, Easter Weekend (Friday through Sunday), Anzac Day, Christmas and Boxing Day.  Call us on 0435812747 to make a booking for all other days.

 

Fees and Payment

Will I be informed of the cost of service or repairs before work commences or will I find out at the completion of work?

Yes, We will provide you with a quote prior to carrying out the work and will only commence once you have approved it.

 

What is your call out fee?

$110 including GST for the first 25km from base (Shailer Park)

What is your labour rate? 

$110 including GST

 

Do I have to pay on completion of work?  
Yes.  All work must be paid in full upon completion.

 

What method of payment do you accept?  
Eftpos, Cash, Visa and Mastercard

 

Do you offer a Seniors discount? 
Yes,  we accept Seniors card, Seniors Business Discount Card and Carer Business Discount Cards.  We also accept cards from interstate and international travellers.  A 5% discount on labour is redeemable when you produce your card to our technician.
